High and Low Care
Fees vary depending on the individual financial status of the person entering an aged care facility.
Charges a resident may be billed for;
- Basic Daily Care Fee – This fee contributes towards daily living costs, meals, laundry, personal care and accommodation costs. The care fee is a % of the single aged pension and will increase twice a year March and |September in line with the single aged pension.
- Income tested fee – this is an additional fee charged to residents who have a higher income. This fee is dependent on assessment made by Centrelink or the Department of Veterans’Affairs.
There are two types of Accommodation payments Residents may be asked to pay dependant on level of care.
Accommodation Charge – If you are entering high care and have not been assessed as a fully supported resident you may be asked to pay an accommodation charge.
Accommodation Bond – If you are entering low care and have been assessed as a fully supported resident you may be asked to pay an accommodation bond.
The amount of the Accommodation bond and Accommodation Charge is determined by the value of your assets and legislative requirements. The Accommodation bond can be paid in a lump sum or periodic payments or a combination of both.

Self Care (Independent Living Units)
There are 147 Independent living units comprising of
- 2 bedroom villas
- 2 bedroom units
