Our Aged Care Home is known as Yallambee Lodge it has 94 High, Low and special Care places. “Yallambee” means “a resting place by peaceful waters”. Each wing has been named from words from the aboriginal language. The lodge consists of the following floors:
- "Illowra" – meaning "A beautiful place" – Ground level, Reception & Services,
- We also have a Special Care Unit - East Ground Level- Dementia Specific Residents
- "Allawah" – meaning "Stay here, rest" – Upper Level Wing
- "Amaroo" – meaning "A lovely place" – North Low Care Wing
- "Mari Ma" – meaning “ To look after, to care for" – West High Care Wing
On-site services are provided by our Yallambee Lodge Management who are ably assisted by Registered Nurses, Trained personal care staff, administrative, domestic, catering and maintenance personnel.
Yallambee Lodge was designed for aged men and women. A comfortable, secure, home-like environment is provided to give Residents a lifestyle free from worry, and to maintain, to as large a degree as possible, their independence.
